The director of the Instituto Cervantes, Luis García Montero, collected the 'Montale Fuori di Casa Award' in Venice (Italy), which in its European section distinguishes the poet as "the most popular and significant voice in the current Spanish literary world,” according to Cervantes.
The organizers of this 27th edition of the award have highlighted García Montero, who is one of the "best-known" contemporary Andalusian poets, adding that he is "the main representative of the so-called 'poetry of experience', which aims to work with the objects and rituals of daily life, using language as a tool for understanding reality".
