Josep Pla's penultimate treasure: more than 30 original manuscripts and typescripts

The family of the publisher Josep M. Cruzet gave the Josep Pa Foundation the original manuscripts of some thirty volumes by the author published between 1949 and 1962.

Starting this Saturday, the Josep Pla Foundation, executor of the memory of the Empordà writer, has under their care a new collection of jewels: the original manuscripts of Pla's writings that Josep M. Cruzet published in Editorial Selecta between 1949 and 1962. More than 6,000 pages of a time when the author of 'El quadern gris' delivered to the printer titles such as 'El carrer estret', 'Pa i raïm', 'Girona', 'Nocturn de primavera' and 'Contraban'.

Until now, the original manuscripts of these works were in the hands of the publisher's descendants but, as reported by the foundation, "it has been possible to manage the transfer of the materials so that readers, scholars and researchers can access their content and extend their knowledge of the work of Pla».
