These awards, which will have a total prize of 55,000 euros, emerged from the desire to establish themselves on the Spanish literary scene and seek to recognize the talent and contribution of numerous personalities from different areas of the publishing world.

In this first edition, which will be held at the Mandarín Oriental Ritz Hotel in Madrid, books published during 2022 will be awarded and different names from the literary and publishing world will be recognized. The eight categories in competition and for which the jury has shortlisted three finalists each are: best work of fiction in Spanish; best non-fiction work in Spanish; best international work of fiction; best international non-fiction work; best translator, best new author, best cover design and best bookstore.
