The ePubs collection currently consists of 946 titles, from various themes and periods.
The ePubs collection of the National Library of Spain is now available in the Instituto Cervantes Electronic Library for use and promotion among its community of readers and users. This collaborative action is part of the protocol signed by the two institutions in 2021 to defend and promote knowledge and advertise the Spanish bibliographic heritage and Spanish languages and cultures.
The project to convert digitized works in the public domain to ePub format began in 2018, within the BNElab framework and the BNE's strategy to promote and re-use its data and digital collections. The collection is currently made up of 946 titles, from various themes and periods and are available for free access and download from the Biblioteca Digital Hispánica (Hispanic Digital Library) and other platforms.
