Rosario Villajos wins the Premio Biblioteca Breve with a story about the female body as a battlefield

Set in the early 1990s, Physical Education draws the portrait of Catalina, a teenager marked by a complicated relationship with her own body and by resentment towards a world determined to make her feel guilty for being a woman.

After suffering a serious mishap at the house of her best friend, located on the outskirts, the young woman needs to return to her home as soon as possible, so she will have no choice but to hitchhike. She doesn't like the idea of it very much, but not making it to her home before the curfew imposed by her parents will be even worse.
