Artificial Intelligence helps discover an unknown work by Lope de Vega.

Deposited in the National Library, the work 'La francesa Laura' was preserved anonymously in a manuscript from the late 17th century, many years after the writer's death.

Researchers from the universities of Valladolid and Vienna have discovered a new comedy by Lope de Vega entitled “La francesa Laura,” written five or six years before his death, in the theater manuscript collection of the National Library of Spain (BNE). "The use of computer tools has been essential for its discovery, the results of which have been fully supported by philological analyses," the institution stated in a press release.
