The writer Antonio Muñoz Molina and the journalist Jesús Marchamalo inaugurate 'Torrijos Cuenta'.

The first Festival Cuento Literario de España, “Torrijos Cuenta,” celebrated in the town of Toledo starts this Friday at 5:30 p.m. and will last until Sunday at the Palace of Pedro I de Torrijos (Toledo).

The writer Antonio Muñoz Molina and the cultural journalist, Jesús Marchamalo, will be key figures in the inauguration of the event.  After the opening of the ceremony, they will also begin a meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the Torrijeño palace, with free admission until full capacity is reached.

Muñoz Molina is a member of the RAE and is considered one of the best novelists in the Spanish language in recent years, having received the Prince of Asturias Award in 2013 in recognition of his entire career. His novels include, among many other titles, 'El Invierno en Lisboa' (1987), with which he won the Premio de la Crítica Award and the Nacional de Literatura Award; “El jinete Polaco,” (1991), which won the Planeta Award; “Plenilunio,” which was brought to the big screen in 2000. However, Muñoz Molina is also a writer of stories, such as those contained in his publication “Nada del Otro Mundo” (2011), with 14 stories created between 1988 and 2011.
