After the break forced by the pandemic, the Madrid Historical Novel Conferences return this year to fulfill their sixth edition.

With the title «En tiempos del Emperador Carlos», (In the time of Emperor Carlos), several sessions will be held dedicated to the figure of Carlos V, as a man and a monarch, and covering the social and political aspects that appeared during the Renaissance.

The conference will have seven round tables, beginning with the participation of the Art Historian, Sergio Ramiro Ramírez, author of the essay "Francisco de los Cobos y las artes en la corte de Carlos V” (Francisco de los Cobos and the arts in the court of Carlos V), who will speak of the powerful secretary Francisco de los Cobos, an influential character who embodies the way of life in the court of Carlos V.
