The jury has highlighted the work “La fragilidad del mundo,” by Joan-Carles Mèlich Sangrà, "for being a profoundly knowledgeable and courageous essay on the contemporary world".

The prize, awarded by the Ministry of Culture and Sport, is endowed with 20,000 euros.

Joan-Carles Mèlich carries out a healthy critical exercise that reminds us that we are not the sole owners of the Planet; a necessary thought in an age like the current one, in which individualism is justified».
