The 7th edition of Women Writers’ Day has record participation

With more than 13,000 tweets with the hashtag #DíadelasEscritoras, the global reach on networks has exceeded 50 million people.

The National Library of Spain (BNE), the Spanish Federation of Women Managers, Executives, Professionals and Entrepreneurs (FEDEPE) and the Classic and Modern Association (CyM) have closed the VII edition of the Women Writers’ Day, curated by the writer and journalist Carmen Domingo Soriano, with great participation success and a huge impact on social networks.

With the motto "Before, during and after the wars, the war conflict lived and written by women", the event scheduled for October 17 closed the attendance registrations in just 48 hours. Some 160 people enjoyed reading 27 texts corresponding to the 27 women authors selected for the occasion by Carmen Domingo, representing "women in different facets: organizing, fighting, going into exile, keeping silent, forgiving, being part of the armed conflict..."
