The winning works of the Manuel Alvar Prize for Humanistic Studies and the Antonio Domínguez Ortiz Prize for Biographies are presented in Seville

In the Antonio Machado room of the CajaSol Foundation in Seville, the winning works of the Manuel Alvar Prize for Humanistic Studies have been presented, which has gone to the researcher José Javier León for his work “Bolero. El vicio de quererte.”

Francisco Fuster has won the Antonio Domínguez Ortiz Award for Biographies with his work, “Julio Camba. Una lección en periodismo.” Both works have been published by the José Manuel Lara Foundation under the sponsorship of the CajaSol ??Foundation.

The publisher Ignacio F. Garmendia said at the press conference for the presentation of the two books that "the winning works were so original and of high quality that they will continue to be read for a long time." He also pointed out that the awards celebrated twenty years of the existence of the Vandalia poetry collection, started in December 2002 and that it was the launching of the Fundación José Manuel Lara publishing house. The Manuel Alvar award reaches its nineteenth edition, while the Antonio Domínguez Ortiz Award celebrates its eighteenth anniversary.
