«BiblioTEcuida» focuses on highlighting the role of different types of libraries as free and open spaces that, through their various services and resources, care about meeting the needs of their users.

The Dirección General del Libro y Fomento de la Lectura (General Committee for Books and Reading Promotion), through the Subdirección General de Coordinación Bibliotecaria (General Subcommittee for Library Coordination), promotes the celebration of Library Day on October 24, 2022. Since 2019, the slogan “Aptas para todos los públicos,” (Suitable for all audiences) has been incorporated into the celebration, which will be present in all activities that are promoted. In addition, the celebration of the Day of the Libraries has since that moment a different theme thread each year.

This year's edition with the slogan "BiblioTEcuida" focuses on highlighting the role of different types of libraries as free and open spaces that, through their various services and resources, care about meeting the needs of their users. Libraries are open to all citizens and are a fundamental pillar at the service of the communities to which they belong.
