The IV Festival Hispanoamericano of Writers returns to La Palma

The Hispanoamericano Writers Festival returns to La Palma after its cancellation in 2021 due to volcanic eruption.

The programming of the IV Hispanoamericano Writers Festival, which will be held on Monday, September 26th and Saturday, October 1st, in Los Llanos de Aridane, with Mexico as the guest country, can now be consulted on the website. The IV edition of the festival, which was postponed last year due to a volcanic eruption, will be held with the slogan "Viva Mexico!" and "Welcome to the volcano" and it will be a party of "freedom of expression.” Mexico is a country where journalists continue to die, so this edition will also shout: "Long live freedom of expression!"

There will also be space for great literary personalities who practiced their trade in Mexico without being from there, such as Gabriel García Márquez and Roberto Bolaño (or cinema personalities, such as Luis Buñuel), with the participation of writers who were very close to them, such as the novelists Mateo García Elizondo and Jorge F. Hernández in the case of García Márquez, or who have studied them in depth, such as Valerie Miles to Bolaño and Yolanda Arencibia to Galdós.
