Azuar Romero's novel is a moving story of the decline of a trade and a world: the circus.

The author has a degree in History. His professional life has revolved around teaching, working as a professor, and designing programs and resources for various companies and institutions, as well as academic activities that he develops in primary and higher education centers, including universities.

The protagonist of his novel is Mateo Salerno, the last of a saga of circus artists, who, away from the ring for years, and driven by remorse, decides to collect the stories that were woven under the canvas of the centenary family circus. The protagonist and, at the same time, the author, offers us a front-row seat in the decline and end of an old circus, the Salerno. The author is endowed with a very natural prose and great rhythm. Although late, Azuar Romero makes his debut with a powerful novel that leaves us shocked.
