Books are for the summer and for traveling, so this list opens the possibility of doing it in all the autonomous communities of Spain, with one or two current reference works in each one.
Literature not only expands the mind in a figurative sense, but sometimes we opt for works that makes us discover distant or imaginary places rather than open a window onto ourselves. On the other hand, the culture in Spain has committed the sin of Madridcentristic (or large-central city) and of stereotyping the surrounding territorial wealth. That is changing.
Thanks to regional promotion and proof of a diverse Spain, the books also bring us closer to the particularities of each land. The following titles are not travel guides. They have very different characters and belong to diverse genres, but their background scenarios serve to get to know a country whose wealth lies precisely in its differences.
