Today we meet Jacobo Siruela and the Atalanta publishing house that he founded together with Inka Martí. Undoubtedly, Atalanta is a publisher with an amazing track record seeded with brave and essential titles for so many. Their readers boast of loyalty and entering their catalog is quite an initiation experience.
Where did the idea of ??founding the publishing house come from?. “I started editing because I loved reading and I stopped editing, in part, for the same reason: I only had time to read what I had to edit. So, reading became a profession that moved further and further away from my most intimate cultural interests. But once Siruela was sold, after spending several years in the Empordà, the bug began to gnaw at me again. The gods are always ironic...”
