The publishing sector requests participation in the PERTE of the Spanish language

The representatives of the publishing industry present at the Publishing Meeting in Santillana del Mar, have requested that, in addition to audiovisual languages, written language be included in the PERTE.

PERTE (Proyectos Estratégicos para la Recuperación y Transformación Económica) (Strategic Projects for the Recovery and Economic Transformation) of the Spanish language which the Government has considered within its plans for recovery, transformation, and flexibility. This has been expressed to the special commissioner for the alliance of the new economy of the language, Cristina Gallach, who has participated in the Meeting of the Edition held in Santillana del Mar (Santander).

The representatives of the publishing sector present at this meeting have requested that, in addition to audiovisual languages, written language be included. They have stressed that if there is an industry that for decades has seen the potential of the Spanish language in the world, it is the publishing sector. In fact, it is an export industry that has a large presence outside our borders that could continue to grow in new markets if it had the support of the administrations.
