Paloma San Román Gómez has just published her first collection of poems “Y llovieron ángeles,” a very special book that came about during the confinement of COVID-19 that we suffered in March 2020.
The author alternates her verses with a poetic prose where she recounts what the pandemic meant for her and how it changed her life. An exquisite book to enjoy in a relaxed and quiet time at home.
The author from Madrid always had a dream, to write a book. What she did not know is that the disease propelled her to do so. Until that moment, she had never dared, but it was everything that happened with Covid that made her feel the need to tell her traumatic experience. “My husband was in the ICU and I spent 11 hellish weeks with the disease, in which I was suffocating. I was a victim of dread in those days. I have never been so scared in my life,” she recalls.
