Tusquets Editores announces that the latest book by the writer from Madrid, a poetic and political novel, will hit bookstores on October 11th.
The writer Almudena Grandes passed away last November but she left a manuscript ready with one last novel. "The author's latest work is a melodious novel of political anticipation," the publisher explained in a statement.
“Set in the near future, at the center of the plot is a new political party called Movimiento Ciudadano ¡Soluciones Ya! who has swept the elections. It is run behind the scenes by a successful businessman who advocates that the Council of Ministers function as a board of directors, and who has ambitious projects to fix the country. After a wave of vandalism, he will form a new body of Watchers; after a Great Blackout, it will create limited access to the internet, and, in the face of difficulties, it will stimulate unlimited freedom to buy and use,” advanced the publisher.
