The influx of the public to the book sales booths in the Retiro Park, marks a milestone with more than three million visitors, according to the organization.
The Madrid Book Fair has presented this Tuesday the official figures for sales and attendance at the traditional event in the Retiro Park. After two years of irregular attendance (in 2020 it was cancelled and in 2021 it was moved to September with capacity restrictions due to the pandemic), visitors responded enthusiastically, welcoming the opening of the book sales booths that, since May and until last Sunday, once again occupied the Paseo de Coches of the Retiro Park.
The management of the fair tallied the number of attendees at 3,100,000 in the 17 days it was open. "In a few weeks, more details of the sociodemographic profile of the visitors will be revealed thanks to the study that the fair has commissioned from a technology provider", the statement explains.
