Everything that is done in poetry becomes part of literature in one way or another. It is a literary genre that is characterized by being the purest artistic expression, through the word, emotions, feelings, and reflections, which idealize love, life, and death.

Poetry can be written in verse or prose, and as such, it becomes literature. We see it everywhere, in songs, stories, novels and even in fiction texts, everything that is literature, carries within itself the notable influence of poetry.

Many poems helped change the perception of society; for example, poetry in the ambiance of revolution, where poets, committed to their time and ideals, denounce any type of injustice and help promote a change in attitude.
