José Zoilo, winner of the Best Historical Novel Award, meet to interview each other about their recent works.
From the Austrian Alps to the shores of the blessed islands of the Atlantic Ocean, the works of these two authors, who write about different moments in history, both Spanish and universal, are read.
Vic Echegoyen has been awarded the Odilo award for the best historical novel author of 2021 by the Certamen de Nóvela Histórica de Cartagena Competition, one of the most innovative and prestigious of this type of competition on the Iberian Peninsula; and the novel “Lordomano”, by José Zoilo, has been chosen as the Best Historical Novel of 2021. Both authors deserve these prestigious awards.
Both authors are specialists in historical novels. While Zoilo moves like a fish in water in Roman and Visigoth Hispania, Echegoyen deals with the 17th and 18th centuries of baroque Europe. The solid documentation of her works, the original treatment of her plots and narratives full of surprises and unusual adventures, make her novels a carousel of emotions that do not leave the avid reader of the historical genre indifferent. We have brought them together in a literary ring to interview themselves. The result could not be more enjoyable and revealing.
