The Ministry of Culture and Sports has given awards for the Best Published Books in 2021. The jury has evaluated 153 works in the categories of Art, Bibliophilia, Facsimiles, Children and Young Adults, and General and Information Works.

This Prize is intended to recognize and stimulate the work of publishers in editing books and works. The prizes do not have a financial endowment, although they are highly valued by publishers for what they represent in terms of recognition and prestige for their editorial work, as well as for the circulation they entail, since the winning books will later be exhibited at international book fairs. LIBER, Frankfurt, and Leipzig.

In these last two fairs, with a centuries-old bibliophile tradition, the Best Book Design From All Over the World exhibition is exhibited, an international competition whose first edition began in the city of Leipzig in 1963.  Each country sends the books that win their national contest each year. After the exhibition of the books at both German fairs, the works will remain as a donation at the German Book and Type Museum in Leipzig. The jury has evaluated 153 works in total, included in five genre groups.
