Ildefonso Falcones will bring a new novel to bookstores this summer. It will be on August 30 when his new work, “Esclava de libertad,” (Editorial Grijalbo) will be released.
A novelty that will arrive simultaneously in digital format and audiobook. Rosa dels Vents will publish its translation into Catalan.
The novel focuses on the struggle for freedom of two black women in different eras: colonial slave-owning Cuba and 21st-century Spain. The first is Kaweca, a girl who has the ability to communicate with Yemayá, a fickle goddess who sometimes grants her the gift of healing and gives her the strength to lead her race brothers in her purpose.
