As of May 22nd, 2022, sales of LIJ (children and young adult literature) remain at 32%; Fiction continues to be the bulk of sales and amounts to 51.50% of them compared to 13% for Non-fiction, which has decreased slightly. As for publishers, Planeta continues to lead with 37% of sales, those of Penguin Random House increased 8 points (36%) and that of the rest of the publishers fell to 28%.
Among the best-selling fiction books, “Todas esas cosas que te dire mañana” by Elísabet Benavent remains the best-seller, followed by the successful “Roma soy yo: la verdadera historia de Julio César, by Santiago Posteguillo. In third place is “El camino del fuego,” by María Oruña. Following are: “La ladrona de huesos,” by Manel Loureiro, “El peligro de estar cuerda,” by Rosa Montero, “El libro negro de las horas,” by Eva García Saenz de Urturi and “Violeta,” by Isabel Allende. Closing the list is “La trilogía de fuego 2: Ciudades de ceniza,” by Joana Marcus, “Tierra,” by Eloy Moreno and “Operación Kazán,” by Vicente Vallés, winner of the Espasa Narrative Award.
