The Madrid Book Fair will remember May 31st, in a tribute to the literary critic Javier Goñi, who died last April. Two activities on political movements will take place: a round table on refugees for political or economic reasons and a poetry recital by European women. In addition, Carolina Darias, Minister of Health, Consumption and Social Welfare, will participate in the presentation of a book on the political influence of Covid-19.
The tribute to Javier Goñi took place at the CaixaBank Cultural Activities Pavilion at 1:00 p.m. A reflection on the work of literary criticism that he rigorously developed, maintaining his importance in magazines and cultural supplements sometimes overwhelmed by the dictatorship in news. The following personalities will participate: Javier Jiménez, Editor of Fórcola; Nuria Barrios, translator; Fernando Clemot, writer; and Javier Rodríguez Marcos, journalist and coordinator of literary information in 'Babelia', a cultural supplement of EL PAÍS.
