Madrid (19%) and Barcelona (12%) are the provinces with the highest concentration of bookshops. «We are going towards a greater number of bookstores, but increasingly smaller and more specialized.»

Madrid accounts for 19% of Spanish bookshops, followed by 12% in Barcelona, as reflected in the report prepared by the consulting firm Insight View, within the framework of the Madrid Book Fair.

Madrid and Barcelona are followed by Valencia (5%), Vizcaya (4%), Alicante (4%), Malaga (3%), Seville (3%) and Murcia (3%), A Coruña (3%) and the Balearic Islands (3%).
