Máximo Huerta wins the Fernando Lara Prize with his novel 'Adiós, pequeño'

The Grupo Planeta literary award, to which 365 original novels were submitted, is endowed with 120,000 Euros.

The writer and journalist, Máximo Huerta, has won the Fernando Lara Novel Prize with his novel ‘Adiós, pequeño,’ which he presented under the title of ‘La familia Arnolfini.’

The decision of the jury to award Máximo Huerta was known yesterday, at the stroke of midnight, during a dinner at the Real Alcázar de Sevilla.

Very moved, Máximo Huerta has collected his award remembering his mother, and has even called her by phone at 11:37 p.m., when he was up on stage, to tell her that he had received the literary award. After giving her the good news, he told her on his cell phone "go to bed now, Mom".
