This week the institution organizes a cultural program featuring Miguel de Cervantes (1547-1616) as the protagonist.
La Real Academia Española, (RAE) (Royal Spanish Academy) celebrates Cervantes Week in their headquarters in Madrid, starting today and ending next Friday. The project will feature an extensive cultural program in the form of presentations, conferences, readings, and other cultural activities in which the history, life, work, and footprint of the author of 'Don Quixote' will be told.
On the first day, on the occasion of the book 'Cervantes', by Santiago Muñoz Molina, director of the RAE, there will be a dialogue between him and the academic, writer, and Nobel Prize winner for literature, Mario Vargas Llosa.
On Wednesday, April 20th, there will be a welcome ceremony by Santiago Muñoz Machado and several conferences and events featuring a large group of academics and Cervantes experts.
