She calls herself Alice Kellen and lives in a small town in the province of Valencia. During book fairs her stand has the largest queues for autographs. "I want to reflect love in everyday life that doesn't look like science fiction," she says of her new book.
It's hard not to find one of her novels on bookstore shelves and bestseller lists. And the first impression when reading her name is to think of a best-selling author who writes from her penthouse in New York City or her mansion on the outskirts of London.
The reality is that Alice Kellen lives in a town in Valencia with her two children and away from the maelstrom that involves selling millions of copies of her books. The latest, 'El mapa de los anhelos' (Planeta), arrives in bookstores this week, just in time to join the never-ending queues of readers once again, at Sant Jordi, the Madrid Book Fair, and other literary fairs.
