The José Manuel Lara Foundation, in collaboration with the Jaén Provincial Council and the Villanueva de la Serena City Council, has published the book "Miguel Hernández:
pasiones, cárceles y muerte de un poeta"; a re-edited, and updated work on the life of the poet, which was previously written in 2002 by José Luis Ferris, considered the most complete biography on the poet from Orihuela.
This publication, which reaches bookstores on the occasion of the LXXX anniversary of the death of Miguel Hernández (1910-1942), was already an essential reference for readers and scholars, and the new edition, revised and extended especially in the final chapters, pertains to the last years of Miguel Hernández. Ferris's biography has been unanimously recognized as the most complete for its accuracy, daring and its fairness, and for shedding definitive light on the brief but intense career of an essential poet.
