With the name of the poet as a flag, Aldo García successfully inaugurated his new bookstore in Madrid.

Today, World Poetry Day, we wanted to pay tribute to a family that bears the name of the poet as its flag: the García family or the Machado family, as they are known in the book industry. José Miguel García, the great Spanish distributor, always together with his brothers, especially Chus Visor, head of the veteran poetry publisher, have been a great engine of culture in Spain. Miguel and his wife María de la Paz Arias are, moreover, the eternal hosts of those of us who came from outside the capital to the Book Fair: the parties in their own home were the real closing of the fair.

And that it was in his own house was a declaration of intent: not only have they created links in the book world with their work, but they have also accompanied and offered their friendship to the entire sector. His daughter, Verónica García, in charge of the distribution, and Aldo, editor and bookseller, are the worthy successors of their parents and by their side we feel equally protected. And this bookstore is going to become the new home for many of us.
