The Mexican writer and editor Álvaro Uribe died at the age of 68 in the country's capital, leaving a legacy of more than a dozen works, according to sources of the cultural world.
“Tonight, the departure of Álvaro Uribe, writer, narrator, and essayist, fills the universe of Mexican literature with sadness and sorrow. We remember his notable works: “Expediente del atentado” and "Autorretrato de familia con perro." I am sending Tedi López Mills (his partner), his family and friends, my condolences,” the Secretary of Culture, Alejandra Frausto, declared on Twitter this Wednesday.
Álvaro Uribe was born in Mexico City on May 26, 1953. Graduated in Philosophy from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). From 1977 to 1985 he was a cultural advisor in France and edited the bilingual magazine, Altaforte, according to information contained in the portal of Enciclopedia de La Literatura en Mexico.
