How Readers Can Discover the Content of Scholar Journals: Trends in Reader Behavior 2005-2021.

This report, by Tracy Gardner and Simon Inge, is the result of a large-scale survey of readers of scholar journals and their behavior in discovering journal articles and videos. The survey was conducted during the months of January, February and March 2021.

Many institutions around the world use proxies to access academic content, and authentication is often tightly integrated with an institutional single sign-on (SSO) solution, making it difficult for publisher analytics tools to identify information such as reader's country of origin.
