The Germán Sánchez Ruipérez Foundation has developed a tentative study to investigate the causes of the current behavior of young Spaniards - adolescents – to their relationship with reading.

Although surveys and interviews have been carried out, the fundamental raw material of the study has been the twelve focus groups in which almost ninety adolescents have participated.

The report prepared by the Contemporary Laboratory for the Promotion of Reading that can be downloaded on this page presents the conclusions and provides some hypothesis about the future relationship with reading and understanding.  What are the incentives or reasons for reading and what are the variables that influence reading in a greater extent? Preferences, motives, obstacles, and other factors.
