Inside the publisher: Publishnews interviews Editorial Barrett.

Publishnews recently spoke with the team from Editorial Barrett after publishing the 2021 Cálamo Award book, "La Tiranía de las moscas,” written by the Cuban poet, Elaine Vilar Madruga.

We took advantage of the interview to do our editorial questionnaire.

Manuel, Belén and Zacarías, the team behind the BARRETT name, answer our questionnaire: Inside the publisher.

Question: Where did the idea of ??setting up the publishing house come from? What makes this publisher a home-place to publish?

Answer: Maybe we repeat ourselves a bit answering this, but Editorial Barrett came to be from the accumulation of superpowers, our love for books and our passion for absurd inventions. We set up a small team of three people where each one of us squeezes our brains to the maximum, we bet on having fun while working despite how boring and elitist this literary world can be sometimes. We have come to enjoy ourselves, although sometimes we have to work on accounting and solve problems (we don't have superpowers for that, ha-ha).
