Journalists turned novelists

Three information professionals, Inés Martín Rodrigo, Toni Cruanyes and Christian Alarcón, have won three recent literary prizes: this is the relationship between the two genders.

The relationships between journalism and literature, and between the people who practice them, are intimate and also complex. There are writers who, in addition to dealing with what is happening, let their writing flow towards other areas far from the frenetic news.

As proof of this, there are the last two Nadal and Pla novel awards, won, respectively, by Inés Martín Rodrigo and Toni Cruanyes. They are both journalists. So is the Chilean Christian Alarcón, who has just won the Alfaguara Prize.
