Deadline for the participation in the new edition of the New Spanish Books translation rights sales program is February 7th

Only until then will publishers and literary agents be able to present their titles through the New Spanish Books web portals in Germany, Brazil, the United States, France, Japan and the United Kingdom.

A group of independent experts (translators, booksellers, publishers, and critics of recognized prestige), coordinated by ICEX and the Economic and Commercial Offices of Spain will make a final selection of 10-20 titles which they consider most suitable in each market for sale of  translation rights, taking advantage, in this edition that Spain is guest of honor at the Frankfurt Book Fair

What is New Spanish Books?

It is a project that aims to sell the translation rights of Spanish publishers and literary agents in foreign markets through Internet portals in Germany, Brazil, the United States, France, Japan, and the United Kingdom, aimed at foreign professionals in the publishing sector. For each of the countries, books of the genres indicated in the “How to participate” section will be accepted. The publication of the portals of the 2022 edition will take place in September.

The New Spanish Books portals include all participating books along with their information sheet. In addition, in each of the countries, a group of independent experts, made up of translators, booksellers, editors and critics of recognized prestige and coordinated by our Economic and Commercial Offices of Spain abroad, will make a selection of those 10-20 titles considered more suitable for the market in question.
