The writer and literary critic Miguel Dalmau is the winner of the XXXIV Comillas Award for 'Pasolini. El último profeta', which traces the life of the Italian poet, essayist and filmmaker, promising to provide the keys to understanding "a life pierced by a tragic impulse."
The work will be published in March, the year that the Italian filmmaker's centenary is celebrated.
The jury, chaired by José Álvarez Junco and made up of Miguel Ángel Aguilar, Anna Caballé, José María Ridao, and, on behalf of the publisher, Josep Maria Ventosa, highlighted of the award-winning work: "the subtle account of the life, fascinating and tragic of Pier Paolo Pasolini (1922-1975), in what will undoubtedly be his ultimate biography in the Spanish language".
