Trama Editorial presents one of its editorial novelties: «Carta a los bibliófilos» (Letters to bibliophiles), by George Duhamel.

One of the editorial novelties of this 2022 so cold for readers around the world, and in particular for the staunchest of Trama Editorial, is Duhamel's work, “Carta a los bibliófilos.”

“The desire to collect […] is a singular form of struggling against death; go against the horrible centrifugal force whose effect tends incessantly to throw our world back into chaos.”

What did Georges Duhamel want to accomplish when he wrote a “Letter to Bibliophiles”? Propose to the reader, perhaps, an archetypal model of bibliophile? Or, on the contrary, present the opposite?  Probably none of these things in an absolute and radical way, and surely both at the same time.
