Almost all the best sellers on the Publishnews – Nielsen Spain are still going strong during the second week of January, 2022.
The Publishnews – Nielsen best-seller list for the second week of January 2022 shows a great role for fiction books in the publishing market; we are talking about 45% compared to 19% for non-fiction. The children and young adult genre is bordering on adult fiction, with 32.50%. Sales are shared, as almost always, between the two large groups: Planeta and Random House; and the rest of the publishers appear this week with a much lower representation than other weeks, which indicates that books given as gifts during the holydays have been more commercial, leaving independent publishers on the sidelines.
Among the best-selling fiction books, Carmen Mola’s La bestia, continues to lead, followed by Arturo Pérez Reverte with his novel El Italiano and Never, by Ken Follet. In fourth place, Paloma Sánchez-Garnica, with Ultimos días en Berlín. Julia Navarro continues to raise numbers with her latest novel: De ninguna parte. La cuenta atrás para el Verano from La Vecina Rubia is still keeping atop in the ranking.
