The year 2021 has been prolific in terms of works published in Spain and the quality of many of the titles that have occupied the shelves of our bookstores and libraries. We have selected ten works that we are sure will delight all the good readers in our land and that, furthermore, have increased this year.
Which is great news.
The readings and sales of books have increased and, especially, of novels and short story books, a genre not appreciated in our country, something that does not happen across the Atlantic. This is the list of the selected books:
- “Diarios. A ratos perdidos 1 and 2”, by Rafael Chirbes (Anagrama Narrativas hispánicas)
- “Nadie logrará conocerse”, by Xavier Güell (Galaxia Gutenberg)
- “Arde este libro”, by Fernando Marías (Editorial Alrevés)
- “Los silencios de Hugo”, by Inma Chacón (Contraluz)
- “Las gratitudes”, by Delphine de Vigan (Anagrama Panorama de narrativas)
- “Los últimos deseos”, by Andrés Ortíz Tafur (Silex Ediciones)
- “Burning Boy: The life and work of Stephen Crane”, by Paul Auster (Seix Barral)
