The publishing sector predicted an increase in book sales in 2021, especially through online channels. One step further in the development of this system in the book industry. And in reality, once 2021 came to an end, has exceeded projections.

The growth in the sale of books on demand in Spain has reached 800%, leaving behind the impressive 300% that this marketing and distribution model showed during the peak of the pandemic. A record figure backed by the support of the different agents in the process chain and their gradual migration towards the movement of on demand strategies.

And it is that both publishers and bookstores have joined the pattern shift of first selling and then producing, without out-of-stock, without inventory and without returns.
