NFT: The Next Big Step in Digital Publishing

Radamés Molina, founder of the publishing house Linkgua and editor of the classic Paradiso by José Lezama Lima on paper, e-book and NFT (cryptographic technology based on blockchain), confirms that this technology will bring much more transparency and reliability to this sector of the literary industry.

With the invention of the Internet and e-book readers, there has been a leap from a single printed book to a complete library you can carry in a simple bag. With the digital book, no matter what, no matter where, there are millions of books at the reader's fingertips at all times. This has made the books even more accessible.

However, this has also had a major downside: you can't flip through, there are no great book cover illustrations to put on the shelf, and certainly no first editions to take to a book signing event. The "collectibles" factor no longer matters when all e-books exist on millions of digital devices. However, people have always been, and still are, collectors.
