The 13 novels from Almudena Grandes

She started writing at a very young age, was tremendously prolific and few in Spain sold as many books as she did.

Almudena Grandes died yesterday after a devastating cancer that she disclosed that she had only a month ago. She leaves behind the written work that testifies to a pen as prolific as it is effective which dazzled millions of readers and was taken to the cinema on several occasions. Between essays, scripts, and thousands of articles, she authored 13 novels since her debut, the very scandalous in its time 'Las edades de Lulu', to 'La madre de Frankenstein,' published last year and belonging to her ambitious series “Episodios de una guerra interminable,” with which she sought to novelize the years after the bloody Spanish civil war.
