More than 3,200 works registered in CEDRO's digital register of intellectual property.
Madrid, 11/30/2021. Since the Digital Intellectual Property Registry was put into operation last February, CEDRO's author and publishing partners have already registered a total of 3,212 works in this service.
"This Registry, developed by our Entity and which has been integrated among the free services that we offer to our partners, has the objective of protecting the intellectual property of their works", explains Jorge Corrales, CEO of CEDRO. "The system is based on the generation of digital fingerprints of the content uploaded by copyright holders, a technology that provides security, since our Entity does not keep copies of the files."
Digital certificate
With each registered work, the system provides the copyright holder with a digital certificate, that is, proof of confidence that a work exists at a certain time. In this way, it can be used to manage your rights in processes with the administration, in negotiations with technological platforms and in any controversy regarding intellectual property.
