Andrea Abreu wins the XVI Dulce Chacón Award with «Donkey belly»

Andrea Abreu wins the XVI Dulce Chacón Prize with his work «Panza de burro», published in the Barrett publishing house.

Panza de burro, by the Canarian journalist Andrea Abreu, published by the Barrett publishing house won the 16th Dulce Chacón Prize for Spanish Narrative awarded by the Zafra City Council for the best work in Spanish printed and edited the previous year.

The ruling was announced this Saturday by the president of the jury, Juan Ángel Juristo, who stressed that it is a novel "of tremendous originality, and is written with great spontaneity."

The finalist were among Panza de Burro, by Andrea Abreu (Barret Editorial), Centroeuropa, by Vicente Luis Mora (Galaxia Gutenberg); Simón, by Miqui Otero (Blackie Books); and Little Red Women, by Marta Sanz (Anagrama).
