Marisol Shulz Manaut, director of the Guadalajara FIL and director of the Los Angeles Spanish Book Fair (LéaLA), talks about the situation of women in the literary industry during her speech at the CANIEM Awards.

“We have been surprised how something so unexpected, such as the pandemic, hit the publishing industry in very different ways, but it hit Mexican publishers in a very particular way, a low blow from which we are starting to see the end.  My solidarity and affection with my colleagues, to them I send a message of encouragement and hope,” declared Marisol Schulz in her speech.
