Of the ten best-selling books on this week's Publishnews - Nielsen Spain list, most are fiction. The Publishnews - Nielsen bestseller list for the week of November 18th once again shows a great role for fiction books in this market
Sales are shared between the two large groups, Random House (exceeding sales this week compared to the previous ones) and Planeta, and the rest of the publishers, as our graphics show, have suffered a drop as a result of the percentage of the German group.
La Bestia, from Carmen Mola, is the number one of the bestseller fiction list, followed by the finalist book for the Planeta Award: Últimos días en Berlín,” by Paloma Sánchez-Garnica. Among the best-selling fiction books, Spanish authors are still playing a big role, not only with the previous two books mentioned, but also with Arturo Pérez Reverte’s “El italiano, and “Volver a donde” by Antonio Muñoz Molina.
