Inside the publisher: Interview with Libero Editorial

Libero is an independent micro-publisher dedicated primarily to Spanish poetry written by women.

Libero is directed by Inés Martínez García, journalist, writer and editor, whose task is to put together writings of an entire genealogy of women (and some men) in a catalog that, although it is diverse in terms of authors and their origins, if they were all to be read, no matter in what order, the reader would be faced before a unique poem.

Where did the idea of ??setting up the publishing house come from? What makes this publisher a home-place to publish?

The publisher was previously known by another name, but I came to it by a stroke of luck. Soon after the publication of my own book, Libero Editorial was born. A new name, a facelift, new logos… In Libero, Spanish or Brazilian/Portuguese authors are published. Their poetry unites them and without even knowing each other they create one unique poem. Bodies crossed by a landscape, violence, desire, and feminism. All this plus the familiar and unique treatment each author receives, makes us a family; a very warm and friendly place to publish.
